Yoga and Water Breathing Retreat at Ulaman Eco Retreat

Neuroscientists and psychologists add that the ocean and wild waterways are a wellspring of happiness and relaxation, sociality and romance, peace and freedom, play and creativity, learning and memory, innovation and insight, elation and nostalgia, confidence and solitude, wonder and awe, empathy and compassion, reverence and beauty — and help manage trauma, anxiety, sleep, autism, addiction, fitness, attention/focus, stress, grief, PTSD, build personal resilience, and much more. Why Reconnect with Water

How do you feel about water? I have been teaching in water for over a decade, and it is overwhelming and heartbreaking to see how so many people are disconnected from water. Most of them, are not even aware when the trauma from water happened. To think that we lived in liquid during conception, and our body consists of a liquid, this is quite a disconnection.

Through this retreat, we are reclaiming our water connection and become one with water. In which during the process, some deeper healings are happening, done by water.

The retreat is 3 days and 2 nights at Ulaman Eco Retreat. Let’s walk through the retreat with me!

We start on the arrival day. You arrive at the compound and will be escorted to your private 1 bedroom villa. The villa is completed with its private swimming pool and a gorgeous semi-open bathroom equipped with a wooden bathtub. Absolutely a gorgeous space for you to dwell in.

After settling in, you will walk to the yoga studio to do your afternoon yoga practice. The yoga studio is located on the second floor on top of a gorgeous waterfall. We can hear the sound of the water and looking at the sky as the sun starts to set. The afternoon practice will be a gentle evening class just to allow you to settle and match to the beautiful vibration of Ulaman.

Then, we will start to invite you to experience Ulaman dining event! Beautiful food, healthy and delicious! Relax by our poolside, we can get to know each other. If you keen, you can even jump into our pool and play a bit!

How the program works

The second morning, we start with early morning meditation at the waterfall. The sound of the water, the approximate distance with water, and at the same time raising our vibration will bring us closer to the water element. I will do short reiki healing during this time to remove any obstacles.

Then, to ground down after the meditation, we will enjoy the healthy Ulaman Green Juice, followed by a yoga class. This class focuses on alignments and poses designed for our physical activity in water. When we finish, your delicious breakfast is waiting at the poolside!

After breakfast, we will play! With our lungs, this time. Yes, we will do a few breathing techniques that help with relaxation, trust, and confidence in the water. Surprisingly, a lot of people do not know how to breathe. But no worries, we will fix this.

Coming down back to our main Restaurant, we will be served with delicious and healthy lunch to fuel us. A little break, and then get on your swimwear and we jump in the pool!

It might be a little intimidating in the beginning, but you will feel much more “in place” after the session. Following the pool training, we will further transform our body, mind, and spirit through a rejuvenating Yin yoga during sunset. Feeling light and joyful, we will then relax a little and enjoying another amazing dinner, family-style. Because that’s what we have become!

The next morning, we will do meditation and Vinyasa Flow yoga, and coming out of Ulaman as a revised person with a better connection to water!
